Tesco’s Community Fund was established in 2014 with the goal of supporting local good causes within Ireland’s communities. The organization has supported thousands of similar activities across UK.
The voting process for the local Tesco Community Fund begins with customers placing their blue token inside the donation box for the chosen charity. The funds are then allocated based on the donations received.
BCIL is very grateful to Tesco for providing us with an opportunity to participate in their Community Fund program, which began on February 27, 2023. Blanchardstown Center for Independent Living (BCIL) is a Disabled Persons Organization whose purpose is to support and empower disabled adults in Dublin 15 to live and take part in their community.
Reda and Angela, representatives of the Tesco Ireland Community Fund, visited BCIL and presented the organization with a cheque for €708.00, which was raised through the donations made by customers. BCIL would like to thank everyone who voted for us and the Tesco Ireland program for their support. It is true what they say that #everylittlehelps.
